Lugoff House of Pizza & Subs is a down-to-earth pizza restaurant nestled along US Highway 1 in Lugoff, SC, serving both locals and visitors who appreciate hearty, straightforward American and Italian-inspired fare. The atmosphere inside leans toward a no-frills, old-school diner vibe, where families, groups, and casual diners gather for a relaxed meal without any fuss.

The place works well as a reliable spot for weeknight dinners, casual weekend meals, or quick lunches, especially when you’re in the mood for classics. The menu covers a variety of pizza styles — from straightforward cheese and sausage pies to more adventurous half-pineapple everything pizzas — along with a solid lineup of subs, pasta dishes, and even some Greek-inspired options like gyros and salads. People often find themselves mixing and matching between pizzas, subs, and sides like fried okra and grilled veggies, making it a spot that satisfies a range of cravings.

The service rhythm is familiar and friendly, typical of a locally owned place where waitstaff know the menu well and work to keep things smooth and comfortable. It’s not a white-tablecloth joint, but there’s an honest attentiveness that makes it feel welcoming, especially for families or groups celebrating simple occasions or just unwinding after work.

Given its location on a frequently traveled highway, Lugoff House of Pizza & Subs fits the needs of passersby looking for a filling, reasonably priced meal, as well as locals who return regularly for reliable flavor without pretense. The vibe during a Friday night or weekend feels lively yet approachable, with enough menu variety to suit different tastes without overwhelming choice.

In short, this is a place for those who appreciate saucy, well-made pizza and generously sized subs, paired with straightforward sides and salads, all served in a space where familiarity and practical comfort take center stage. If you’re driving through or nearby Lugoff and want a no-nonsense meal with a welcoming, down-home atmosphere, this restaurant offers just that.

This place is definitely incredible and I was shocked to see how good everything tasted. The price was reasonable and I will be back there next time I go to lugoff.

Great Friday night experience. Heather, our waitress was wonderful, helping us and other diners. This evening we got a made in house lasagna with salad and a gyro with a Greek salad which is shown in the photo. Heather kept our drinks filled and our spirits up, offering oil and vinegar to substitute the Greek dressing for my salad. Great service and great food. I highly recommend having lunch or dinner here.

I love this place, I haven’t been since I moved back to Camden. We had a party of 8 and they accommodated us quick and easy, were very friendly and great. They were genuine and I appreciate it a lot. We will be back.

Overall, I enjoyed this place. It had a quaint, old school vibe to it, and one of the better pizza sauces that I've had in SC. Our waitress was very friendly, and took care of us. We got a combo basket of fried okra, squash, mushrooms, broccoli and mozzarella sticks. The menu warned us that we'd only be getting 2 mozz sticks and broccoli, but I didn't expect to get so few mushrooms. The broccoli was the best of the basket. Pizza was good, especially the sausage on top. (Sliced). I ordered a to-go antipasto for lunch, but I was disappointed in that. Shredded lettuce, two slices of tomato, shredded Parmesan, but no pepperoncini, no salami. Instead it had chopped baloney and a creamy Italian dressing. I won't make that mistake again! That said, I'd have the pizza again, and will probably go back to try the stromboli.

We found this place a second time by accident, but have bookmarked it now. The pizza is amazing and I definitely recommend the Marinated Chicken over Rice Pilaf. Ask for a side of the house dressing for dipping. SO good!

My mom's in a care facility in Camden and I've been staying in hotels in nearby Lugoff. This trip I found a little local place called Lugoff House of Pizza & Subs. Today's the second day I've been here in three days. The first day came in because I was told they had a good meatball sandwich, one of my favorite sandwiches. The smell of pizza was in the air and I ended up ordering a small sausage pizza. It came with sliced sausage on it (I prefer crumbles) but the whole pizza was fabulous. Nice eastern style crust, really good stretchy cheese, and a good flavor to the sausage. Loved it! Today I came back for the meatball sub that got pushed aside on my first visit. I got the 12", and asked them to add cooked onion and peppers, a staple of New York and Connecticut meatball subs (where I grew up). The sub roll was toasted perfectly the cheese was melted, and they added the onions and peppers as requested. My only suggestion for the managers is the stock a small quantity of glass nonalcoholic beer. Been sober for 40+ years, but some things, like a meatball sub, scream to be accompanied by a cold beer in a frosting mug. Highly recommended Note: I understand it's recently gone through a change in ownership. The Greek family that owned it for many years retired. I can only say that their legacy is intact based on my two visits. I'll be here again in three months when I am visiting again.

I was pleasantly surprised by this little gem! As a northerner, I have high expectations for Greek salads and comfort food but this place hit the nail on the head! The server I had (Shannon) was amazing and friendly. Fair prices, fast service. I will return for sure.
